The not so friendly relation between Congress leaders became very much evident again as disgruntled leader Sanjay Nirupam slammed party leader Milind Deora and called him a nikamma (useless). A day after both the leaders were absent from former Congress President Rahul Gandhi’s rallies in poll-bound Maharashtra, Nirupam clarified his reason for not joining Gandhi. “Speculations and suspicions about my absence in RG’s Mumbai rallies are meaningless. Due to an important family function I was very busy the whole day, rather till late night. Had informed him in advance,” he tweeted.
