Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail stressed that the country had failed to ensure the wellbeing of children, despite the millions spent for almost three decades. "We can't claim to be a caring society if we ignore and neglect those who are most in need of care," she told a press conference here. Dr Wan Azizah, who is also Women, Family and Community Minister said the government cannot talk about developing a better future if one in three and one in four children continue to live in poor conditions.
