By Shinan Govani Star Columnist Fri., Jan. 18, 2019 Pasta makes the heart grow fonder. It was a thought that was hard to swat when I heard that Jeff Bezos — currently in the throes of what could be history’s most expensive divorce — had been spotted in Los Angeles with new flame Lauren Sanchez at impossible-to-get-into hot spot Felix. It’s a cathedral to handmade noodles, complete with a climate-controlled pasta-making glass room smack in the middle of the dining room, and notable to me in that it’s a spot owned by Toronto-based resto group, Gusto 54. A long-simmering, south-of-the-border passion project of Janet Zuccarini — ever since the power restaurateur teamed with renowned pasta king Evan Funke — the restaurant was a carb-time boon right out of the gate in 2017. Named Best New Restaurant in America by Esquire. Up for a James Beard Award. The place where Gwyneth Paltrow celebrated a birthday. More recently, … [Read more...] about Toronto restaurateur’s L.A. hot spot Felix is where Jeff Bezos and his new love let their appetites run wild

You know nothing, Jon Snow. And you're breaking our hearts. It is being reported that Kit Harington has zero interest in appearing in any kind of Game of Thrones spin-off. The actor was asked by the BBC while promoting his London play True West if he had any interest in revisiting Westeros in a future HBO Thrones-verse show. "Would I want to go back and do more? Not on your life," he said. "...If like me, you go all the way back to the pilot of Game of Thrones, that's almost 10 years of your life. That's really unusual in an actor's career. It was a huge, emotional upheaval leaving that family." The interviewer then pressed: "What if [Harington] were asked to film a single scene, maybe as an ancestor of Jon Snow? His answer remains an unequivocal no." And we are absolutely disappointed. Especially with HBO preparing to shoot a pilot for a Game of Thrones prequel series by creator George R.R. Martin and showrunner Jane Goldman that's set roughly 5,000 years before the events in GoT. … [Read more...] about Kit Harington says ‘No’ to Game of Thrones spin-off; is he playing a superhero next?
Matt Damon is reportedly trying hard to clear his image by distancing himself from friends surrounded by controversies. The 48-year-old actor has apparently cut off from Ben Affleck as well, following the Argo star's latest stint in rehab. A source told Radar Online: "After being dragged down by his close association with Ben and Casey Affleck and Harvey Weinstein. Matt is making a real effort to fix his good name." "He's going through a little restlessness in middle age and fixing his image was the kind of challenge he needed right about now. He's acquiring some stable, 'normal' friends he can share the journey with," the insider added. However, rumour-debunking site Gossip Cop debunked the report and revealed there is no truth to it. Damon and Affleck share one of Hollywood's longest and most fascinating friendships. In 2015, during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, The Martian star shared how Jennifer Garner's former husband has been wrongly portrayed for his personal life … [Read more...] about Is Matt Damon deliberately distancing himself from long term friend Ben Affleck?
source 20th Century Fox After 10 years and 19 movies, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is more popular than ever. But some moviegoers may still not know what characters are and are not involved with it. Is Batman an Avenger? Is Wolverine? Is Spider-Man? It can get a little confusing. With that in mind, there’s a few things to remember in regards to who is and isn’t in the MCU. The first is that film rights for Marvel Comics characters like the X-Men, Wolverine, Deadpool, and Fantastic Four are owned by Fox. But Disney’s – which owns Marvel – acquisition of Fox’s film studio leaves the future of those franchises up in the air until the deal is finalized. The second thing to remember is that there are Marvel shows on Netflix, such as “Daredevil,” that are technically connected to the MCU but the shows only ever vaguely allude to MCU events. Finally, DC Comics characters are not in the MCU because the … [Read more...] about A guide to which superheroes are in the Marvel Cinematic Universe — and which aren’t
By Raju Mudhar Staff Reporter Fri., April 13, 2018 It is Netflix’s world and we are all just living in it. Seth Rogen is fully aware of that fact, and it’s the source of many biting-the-hand-that-feeds-it jokes in his new Hilarity for Charity special that launched last week on the streaming service. Aimed at raising funds and awareness about Alzheimer’s — a disease which has touched the Rogen family — the actor and his wife, Lauren Miller Rogen, have been organizing and hosting these events for five years, but this is the first time it’s been recorded and televised. Of course, this being Rogen, there are weed and penis jokes aplenty right off the top; actually, this is likely the charity event with the highest ratio of male-anatomy jokes ever. “That was the direct equation: how many people are not going to watch it because it’s a charity event, and we have to counteract that with dick jokes,” quips Rogen on … [Read more...] about Seth Rogen deploys celebrities, and vulgarities, in fight against Alzheimer’s
