Dalits, Urban Maoists and a plot to kill the PM
'Such a serious threat -- to assassinate the prime minister of India, no less -- was not handed over to the Maharashtra Anti Terrorist Squad for investigation, but to the Pune crime branch.' Photograph: @narendramodi/Twitter So in the first of its kind political humour we have encountered in a long time, an e-mail is produced that is addressed to media organisations stating how they -- all 'Naxals' -- want to threaten Prime Minister Narendra D Modi with assassination 'Rajiv Gandhi style', an e-mail which was also copied to the police! The authorities in Maharashtra quickly pounced on five people -- including a lawyer, professor and editor -- who are directly connected with the Dalit cause. This is, after all, a Bharatiya Janata Party government. Apart from these five individuals, the e-mail named activists who had been arrested by the Maharashtra police during the previous Congress-Nationalist Congress Party government. It's no surprise that we are being served ... » Learn More about Dalits, Urban Maoists and a plot to kill the PM
Can men have multiple orgasms?
Turns out, multiple orgasms aren't exclusive to women. According to Stu Nugent, resident sex expert at Lelo, men too can have multiple orgasms by working the right kind of muscles, the Daily Star Online reported. Nugent noted that there is only a small, lucky percentage of men who have very short refractory periods and are able to get an erection and ejaculate again within minutes of their first ejaculation. For the majority of men to have a multiple orgasm, they need to exercise their pubococcyx muscles -- the pelvic floor muscles that are used to "hold in" your pee. To strengthen these muscles, one needs to do kegel exercises, he suggested. These exercises, coupled with being able to recognise "the point of no return" are the two key factors to male multiple orgasms. Finding the pelvic floor muscles can be done through stopping urination midstream or tightening the muscles that prevent you from passing gas. The main movement to do is to tighten your ... » Learn More about Can men have multiple orgasms?

Driverless bus hits streets of Malaga in southern Spain
Malaga : A new driverless electric bus has begun operating in the southern Spanish city of Malaga, in a project presented as a first in Europe. The bus, which began running on Saturday, is equipped with sensors and cameras and links Malaga's port to the city centre on an eight-kilometre (five-mile) loop it does six times a day. "The bus knows at all times where it is and what is around it," said Rafael Durban Carmona, who heads the southern division of Spanish transport company Avanza that leads the public-private consortium behind the project. It can "interact with traffic lights," which are also equipped with sensors that alert the bus when they turn red, he told AFP. The bus uses artificial intelligence to improve its "decisions" based on data recorded along the route. The 12-metre (39-foot) vehicle, which looks like any other bus, can carry 60 passengers and was developed by Spanish firm Irizar. Other driverless pilot projects already exist in Europe, but none of ... » Learn More about Driverless bus hits streets of Malaga in southern Spain
Freeport eyes U.S. expansions as Biden’s EV plan boosts copper demand
Freeport-McMoRan Inc is set to approve expansions at several of its U.S. copper mines to capitalize on surging demand for the red metal as President Joe Biden moves to electrify the nation's automobiles and combat climate change , Chief Executive Richard Adkerson told Reuters. The expansions would be a major bet on the U.S. economy - one of the company's largest markets - and also on the rising demand for electric vehicles (EVs), which use twice as much copper as internal combustion engines. Adkerson also said he has no desire to combine Freeport with Barrick Gold Corp or another gold producer and is working to give COVID-19 vaccines to about 25,000 workers at the Grasberg copper mine in Indonesia, which Freeport owns with that country's government. He also is aiming to double the size of the company's board of directors. Phoenix-based Freeport already produces more than 1 billion pounds of copper each year in the United States, little of which is exported. While ... » Learn More about Freeport eyes U.S. expansions as Biden’s EV plan boosts copper demand
