"It is of no use for a country to be able to be vaccinated if the rest of the world is not immunized. The virus does not respect borders," Blanco told Xinhua in an exclusive interview. Bolivia's vaccination campaign with vaccines developed by Chinese pharmaceutical firm Sinopharm places the country "well above" the average in Latin America in terms of the percentage of population potentially covered, he said. Ugandan auto firm aims to start producing buses this year
By Elias Biryabarema KAMPALA: Ugandan state auto firm Kiira Motors Corporation says it will commence producing buses by July and aims to put out 1,030 units this year, as it moves to enter a market now served by big players like Isuzu, Man and Taata. The east African country hopes to ride on the publicly-owned KMC to compete with neighbours including Kenya and Rwanda to build domestic auto industries and grab a share of growing demand for new vehicles in the region. "We are targeting July this year," said KMC Chief Executive Officer Paul Isaac Musasizi in an interview, referring to intended vehicle production. "We have had discussions with business partners, we are now looking at 1,030 buses by the end of this year." Goldman Sachs Group Inc has restarted its cryptocurrency trading desk and will begin dealing bitcoin futures and non-deliverable forwards for clients from next week, a person familiar with the matter said. The team will sit within the U.S. bank's Global Markets division, the person said. The desk is part of Goldman's activities within the fast-growing digital assets sector, which also includes projects involving blockchain technology and central bank digital currencies, the person said. As part of this work, the bank is also exploring the potential for a bitcoin exchange traded fund and has issued a request for information to explore digital asset custody, the source said. Modi’s infra push likely to double this highway builder’s revenue in 4-5 years
